Background C.W. Smith Inc. came into being in 1989 upon the return of the owners from a lengthy business and living experience in Asia. The company is owned and operated by the Smith family. The first gallery began operations in a suburb of Minneapolis almost a decade ago. A second gallery was added in Naples Florida in 1999. Each employee, from owners to gallery managers, brings significant personal strengths based on living extensively in Asia, long-term supplier relationships and formal training in Art, Art History, Archeology and Anthropology. The C. W. Smith Collection C. W. Smith is a leading “direct” importer of both high quality Chinese furniture, artifacts and art and British, Dutch and Portuguese colonial furniture. Each piece is chosen with care “in-country” and, when required, is properly restored to current museum standards. Assurance of Quality The C. W. Smith reputation as a purveyor of the finest antiques has been earned through superior customer service, museum quality restoration and the unqualified integrity of the foremost suppliers in the world.
